Stephan DuCharme is Senior Advisor to L1 Retail and Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of DIA.
Prior to this, Stephan was Managing Partner of L1 Retail. He served as CEO of X5 between 2012 and 2015, leading the strategic turnaround of the company to become the fastest growing public food retailer, before becoming the Chairman of the Supervisory Board until March 2021.
He has over 25 years of financial sector and retail expertise. Previously he held senior positions in family offices and financial institutions (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Salomon Brothers Inc.). Stephan graduated with distinction from the University of California at Berkeley and received his MBA from INSEAD.
