Adam Shaw

Adam Shaw, started his career at Enskilda Securities, the leading Nordic investment bank.

He was headhunted by Kaupthing in 2004, the Icelandic bank, to head up its UK M&A team. He has worked on many international transactions and in particular in the retail sector the take private of Big Food Group, the secondary buyout of Jane Norman and the acquisition of Principles and Warehouse by Rubicon. After advising on its acquisition of Refresco he was hired by Stodir hf, the Icelandic investment company, to set up their international private equity operations. He then took part in the take-private of House of Fraser. After the financial crisis of 2008 Adam was asked to remain on the boards of House of Fraser and Refresco until 2010. Since 2010 Adam has been doing private equity deals for family offices in the UK. Adam joined L1 Retail in October, 2016.
