Stan Polovets (Lead Non-Executive Director at Clal Industries)
Stan Polovets has served as Lead Member of the Advisory Board of L1 Energy since the formation of the company in 2013.
Prior to 2013, Mr. Polovets was the CEO of the Alfa-Access-Renova (AAR) Consortium, which managed $30 billion in oil and gas assets in Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Vietnam, Venezuela and Iraq. AAR’s main asset was TNK-BP, one of the world’s 10 largest private oil companies. Mr. Polovets served as director and member of board committees of TNK-BP and its affiliated companies, including Slavneft and TNK Trading International. He represented TNK on its 2003 merger with BP and AAR on the $55 billion sale of TNK-BP to Rosneft in 2013.
Mr. Polovets is the Lead Non-Executive Director at Clal Industries, a major Israeli holding company with a diversified portfolio of investments in industrial, manufacturing, hi-tech, biotech and consumer sectors, and a lead director at Taavura, the leading logistics company in Israel. Mr. Polovets is a member of the New York University’s President’s Global Council, Council on Foreign Relations, and the Board of Overseers of Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
