Sergio has an extensive experience in retail, eCommerce and branding. He pioneered eCommerce in Europe and over the last 15 years has worked across multiple eCommerce ventures both as an entrepreneur and an investor.
Born and raised in Brazil with a dual nationality, Brazilian and French, he started his career at Arthur Andersen in Sao Paulo before moving to France to join Carrefour. As Carrefour’s Deputy CFO he managed the M&A team which was responsible for the largest retail merger in modern retail history, the merger of Carrefour and Promodes groups. Post the merger, Sergio co-led the team that created the eCommerce businesses for Carrefour in 1999.
Sergio joined LVMH in 2012 where he spent seven years, starting as CFO of the Wines and Spirits division and becoming the CEO of Millennium, the Vodka and Rum Division of Moet Hennessy.
